Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions for certain regular medications may be issued – however note that the issuing of any prescription is at the doctor's discretion. Your doctor will tell you if an appointment is required.
If you have registered to use our patient portal, ManageMyHealth, you can request repeat prescriptions online. Please allow 48 hours for non-urgent prescriptions to be issued. Urgent prescription requests will incur an extra charge.

Medication Reviews
Why are they important: Your medicines are prescribed to help you stay healthy and manage your conditions. Over time, your health needs may change, and it's important to make sure your medications are still the best choice for you.
Medication Review Requirement: Every patient MUST have a medication review at least once every 12 months. This review is carried out by your doctor, or another qualified healthcare professional. The purpose is to check that your medicines are working as intended, identify any side effects or interactions, ensure doses are correct, stop medicines you no longer need and add new medicines if required.
Repeat Prescriptions: Only long term medications can be repeated. Short term or new medications require a consultation before they can be repeated. This ensures that your treatment remains safe and appropriate for your current health needs.
What you need to do: Keep track of when your last medication review was. Book an appointment with your healthcare provider before 12 months have passed and at least 2 weeks before your script is due. This will give you plenty of time to get an appointment.
