If you test positive for COVID-19 please register your test result on the Ministry of Health website.

When you do this your GP will be informed of your positive result. Your GP will be reviewing all the positive COVID results received. Your GP has an risk assessment framework to use to determine the level of risk you have for having severe symptoms of COVID-19 infection. Most patients are low risk and as of 13 February 2023, with changes to Covid care management in the community, will not be contacted by your GP. A clinician will phone those assessed as being at higher risk and some people may require several phone calls over the course of the first 7-10 days following a positive COVID result. You can contact us at any time during our operating hours for advice if you test positive for COVID, however, this support it only funded for those patients who are deemed vulnerable/high risk. Please click on the Te Whatu Ora COVID care update button above for more information.
